Using the Shopping Cart  top

When you see an item you want to purchase just click "Add to Cart". You can continue shopping or "Checkout" at that time.

Checking Out  top

When clicking "Cart" you are taken to an information screen. You will be asked to provide a billing address for your credit card, a shipping address (if it is a gift or different than your billing address).

Sales Tax  top

We are required to collect sales tax on orders shipped to the following states: Alabama, Georgia.

Payment Options  top

We accept the following cards: MasterCard, Visa, Discover, and American Express.

Credit Card Security  top

At CollegeVaultBooks.com, your security is important to us. As a result, ALL pages which contain your personal information are securely encrypted using the latest 128 bit security protocols.
On Microsoft Internet Explorer (IE), there are 3 ways to ensure your connection is secure including:
  • Right click on the page, select properties and view the connection info. It should mention SSL 3.0 (Secure Socket Layer).
  • The page address should start with "https:" not "http:"
  • A lock icon appears in the lower right corner of the page.
We have had reports from customers using IE that under certain conditions the lock icon may appear briefly when the page is first loading then quickly disappear. This is due to a confirmed issue with using IE (see Microsoft's own explanation at http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;319831)
This is in NO WAY affects the security of the information you provide. Should you not see the security lock icon, use on of the other 2 methods to confirm our page is secure.

Cancelling An Order  top

Return Policy  top

Whitman Publishing offers the highest quality products and we want you to be satisfied with your purchase. We accept returns for merchandise purchased on our website up to 30 days from the delivery date of your order. If you need to return or exchange an item, please follow the steps below:

  • Call 1-800-546-2995, for a Return Authorization number. YOU WILL NOT RECEIVE A CREDIT FOR THE PRODUCT RETURNED UNLESS YOU HAVE A RA#. The RA# must be written on the outside of all boxes returned.
  • Keep a list of the products you are sending back.
  • Write the reason for the return and a daytime phone number on the packing slip from your order. Ship to:

  • Returns should be shipped by a traceable method (such as UPS or some other traceable method). If your return is not shipped by a traceable method and gets lost we will be unable to issue a credit.

The credit will be processed after we receive your return. Please allow 4 weeks for the return to show on the account.

Sorry we cannot accept C.O.D. freight or refund the original or return shipping costs.

Shipping Methods and Rates

SHIPPING OVERVIEW

We offer 3 tiers of shipping service for your convenience. Standard (7 to 10 days), Premium (2 day), and Express (next day), however we must add 48 hours to these timeframes to process, pick, and package your order. When your order is placed we process it within 48 hours on weekdays with the exception of Friday. Orders placed Friday, Saturday and Sunday will be processed on Monday. It takes 48 hours to process, pick and pack your order for shipping. Then your order is transported to the carrier for delivery to your address.

For example, if you place your order on Monday your order will be processed, picked, and packaged on Wednesday. Start counting delivery time from the freight carrier from Wednesday.

Another example is if you place your order on Friday, Saturday or Sunday, your order will be processed, picked, and packaged on Tuesday. Start counting delivery time from the freight carrier from Tuesday.

STANDARD SHIPPING

Shipping usually takes 7 to 10 business days to arrive after the order is placed. We utilize USPS and UPS shipping at our discretion. Customers with P.O. Boxes or APO & FPO Boxes are always shipped USPS. International shipments may take up to 4 weeks for delivery. Tracking is available on UPS shipped items only. Packages are delivered to the customer’s front door and usually do not require a signature for delivery.

Domestic Shipping and Handling (US)

  • Base Charge of $5.95

Non-Domestic and International Shipping and Handling

  • Alaska and Hawaii - $11.50 Base Charge up to the first pound and each additional pound is $1.50
  • International (including Canada) – $29.99 Base Charge up to the first three pounds and each additional pound is $4.99
PREMIUM SHIPPING

Shipped UPS 2nd-day-air only (no P.O. Boxes) Premium shipping usually takes 3 to 4 business days to arrive after the order has been placed. Your order is processed; picked and packed within 48 hours of receipt (this time is included in the overall 3 to 4 business day delivery period.) We utilize UPS only and require a valid street address. Packages are delivered to the customer’s front door. Tracking is available for all items. Packages may require a signature at the time of delivery. No Saturday delivery is available. Note: There is no Premium Shipping for International Addresses.

Domestic Shipping and Handling (US)

  • Base Charge of $8.98 up to the first three pounds and each additional pound is $1.00.

Non-Domestic Shipping and Handling

  • Alaska and Hawaii - $17.25 Base Charge up to the first pound and each additional pound is $1.50
EXPRESS SHIPPING

Shipped UPS Next-day-air only (no P.O. Boxes) Premium shipping usually takes 2 to 3 business days to arrive after the order has been placed. Your order is processed; picked and packed within 48 hours of receipt (this time is included in the overall 2 to 3 business day delivery period.) We utilize UPS only and require a valid street address. Packages are delivered to the customer’s front door. Tracking is available for all items. Packages may require a signature at the time of delivery. No Saturday delivery is available. Note: There is no Premium Shipping for International Addresses.

Domestic Shipping and Handling (US)

  • Base Charge of $17.98 up to the first three pounds and each additional pound is $1.00.

Non-Domestic Shipping and Handling

  • Alaska and Hawaii - $30.50 Base Charge up to the first pound and each additional pound is $3.00
FREE SHIPPING (WHEN OFFERED)

Periodically, Whitman Publishing will offer free shipping promotions on certain products or when purchasing a certain dollar amount of products coupled with a required discount code. Shipping usually takes 7 to 10 business days to arrive after the order is placed. We utilize USPS and UPS shipping at our discretion. Customers with P.O. Boxes are always shipped USPS. Tracking is available on UPS shipped items only. Packages are delivered to the customer’s front door and usually do not require a signature for delivery. Note: Free Shipping does not apply to orders shipping to APO or FPO Boxes, Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico or International destinations – Standard Shipping rates will apply or you may upgrade to Premium or Express delivery if you have a valid street address.
